Everton finally have a striker.
This. Dear God. This.
Everton finally have a striker.
He looks to be a great signing, one thing that comes to my mind though is people talking of this partnership with Barkley. We assume the partnership will continue here but if they keep playing like they did last night it's going to be Chelsea coming for Barkley
Everyone being very careful about what they say in the media and rightly so. His partnership with Barkley has all the signs of being the making of something a bit special. If we can't afford him because he's shown everyone how ace he is then we need as close as we can afford as a replacement. Benteke if he doesn't have a stellar season at Villa maybe? Sod it just gonna enjoy him while we can and worry much, much later.
I'd still be tempted to tell them where to stick their 50 million
Would love him to sign permanently, pipe dream I know but I reckon there is cash left over from Fellaini and Vic.
I did think he needed bringing off last night, he was shattered with 15 to go, maybe Kone with fresh legs could have done a job
That's all very well and good mate but he'll cost real money. We had to sell our best midfielder just to buy McCarthy. Are we gonna sell our entire team plus Goodison Park to afford 25m Lukaku? As that's what he'd cost.
No chance. Just enjoy him this season, as this is as good as it gets.

I dont like his " phoning Mourinho" celebration.
Im pretty sure the phone celebration is down to Mirrallas, as he points at him once he scores.
Anyway, I think he will have 18 months left on his contract when he returns. IMO, the only we we have a chance of keeping him, is if we get CL football.
