Bit of a catch 22 with Lukaku, we need him to keep knocking them in to try and grab that 4th spot, but every goal he scores will increase his value and make it harder for us to sign him.

One thing that hit home tonight watching that superb win, was that two of the youngsters who played a major part in that are not ours.

If we could somehow sign up Lukaku we would have a frighteningly good young spine to the team in Stones at the back, McCarthy and Barkley in midfield and Lukaku up front, all 23 and under.

You're right mate, it's an absolute primo example of a catch 22. But I guess we just have to go for gold today and worry about paying for the gold tomorrow. I am under the impression that Bill has stashed the Arteta money for just such contingency?

Know this was said as a joke but when Duncan was working once a week for the first team when he was sheedys assistant i know they had Dunc working with Lukaku a bit.

Lukaku would probably leave us once he has hit his potential. Bacca is class mate, you clearly don't watch him week in week out.

Honestly, no I don't watch Bacca or Sevilla week in week out, so I don't know.
But I believe Lukaku is the real deal and I would rather have him leading our line for the next 4 years than mixing up the likes of Bacca, Kone, Long, etc
For a top striker- splurge.
