-Lukaku has also scored 1 in his last 10 games so he had previously netted 8 goals in 10 games.
-Last season at WBA 17 goals in 38 games

So he is basically slotting a goal every 2 games on average BUT this is with half the games as a target man. When playing as an out and out striker he scored 8 in 10.

The question should be, do Everton need this type of player and how much can we afford to spend on him?

League Cup runners up don't get into Europe.

FA Cup runners up do, but if we get beaten by Arsenal and they avoid City in the semis then we'll be getting Europe regardless should they both reach the final (which they would).

he did bring someone in - the mistake was bringing in an injured player.
