Yeah the solution is for white folks to tell black folks not to worry about the racism that they’ll encounter in all walks of life. Yeah ‘educate’ them to ignore it.

I think it’s important to educate ALL RACES about the history of slavery. It goes back to the history of civilization, perpetrated by all races. Still exists today with estimated 40 million slaves worldwide. Still a huge problem in the middle-east and Africa. The Arab slave trade being arguably the most vicious in history. That the word slave comes from “Slav” The Eastern Europeans captured by Muslim slavers in the 9th century. How European nations later on took advantage of his terrible human trafficking that has effected all of mankind.

Educate people in the role English common law had in the history of slavery and how it helped end it. Thanks to English common law, it was found illegal to own a slave in 1772 on British soil. Educate people on how the United States of America fought a civil war, which involved mostly white people fighting white people, which resulted in ending slavery in the United States.

But yeah they’ve got a victim mentality them black folks, so we’d be far better served telling them to get over it.

But you must see why that is potentially damaging aswell?

If you believe that self fulfilling prophecy is a real thing then a young black kid constantly being told they will never amount to anything because of the nasty white man

1. How does that give them the ambition to achieve/work hard when they think regardless they'll never succeed

2. How does that help heal racial tensions when you are told the white man is and always will be the enemy?

Im all for black people deciding what is or isnt racist but I dont think its ultimately a productive thing.

Yeah educate dem black folks about the humanity of the white folk, who eventually decided to stop the vile trade they started, but only after massive compensation worth £BN’s today was agreed to compensate them, and after all they were only doing what others were doing, so the 2m black folks who ended up in the Atlantic were just a sign of the times lads.

I'm sure you are correct. There will be hundreds of thousands, possibly even millions of people out there in this country who are against it full stop, and no matter what anybody says their views will not change because they are basically racist in their outlook. But, in my opinion, there are many millions more who see that there is inequality in the UK and want to be able to understand it more. They were appalled by the events in America and definitely see the BLM cause as a worthy one. But will then be concerned at the lawlessness that attached itself to the various demonstrations. Is it not fair for those people to think that silence from the event organisers means that they condone the actions of the minority?

You keep returning to this point, what is your basis for saying it?

The BLM protests didn't promote violence, they didn't tell people to attack the police or loot. The local promoters and those, such as university groups have but stayed silent and neither have other prominent figures within the black community

I would argue that, were it me, I'd be more likely to buy into and participate in a society that valued me and took my concerns seriously. But I can understand your point of view also.

I'd think very carefully before cheerleading the government invading their own country and using troops against their own citizens. It never ends well.
