They have condemned it mate. BLM are a peaceful group who are inspired by Martin Luther King and his tactics. You probably saw a couple of teenage girls putting themselves between some protesters throwing projectiles and the police yesterday. The media need to find those girls and start amplifying their voices and their message. Not going back to the usual Tommy Robinson/Katie Hopkins set who just cause more division. Go and find those teenage girls who put themselves in harms way to protect the police. They've got more common sense and bravery than most political people combined.

No I never saw that mate. I wish I had and I'd have been on here singing their praises. As I said in my Gee Walker post, we need more people like this promoting unity in the country.

I fully agree that we should be getting these girls in front of the cameras and the media should also be playing those scenes over and over. You just know they won't though. Burning flags makes much better news

Well in the midst of a pandemic that has claimed 40,000 lives in this country - yes.

Why are people not protesting at the countless lives lost in middle east conflicts? In Africa?

Or is it because its out of sight out of mind as the media dont want to know?

Its complete brainwashing and people fall for it all the time. You are basically told what you need to be angry about and if you dont get angry about it or question it then you are bad.

When you have Anthony Joshua who has white people who travel around the country/world supporting him tell people to stop buying in their shops maybe question is the elite run media really asking for peace or is it pushing for further division?

I or most people couldnt give a toss what colour you are - if you are angry at the elite then make a stand - but dont turn it into anti British white vs black BS as thats when you lose alot of support and become just as bad as those you seemingly are fighting against.

There are absolutely loads of small rallies for Africa/middle Eastern conflicts.

These demonstrations = the biggest indulgence ever. About 1000% more irresponsible than a load of those pissed up beached whales we were all condemning two weeks ago sunning themselves.

This is not in any way 'of the left' or socialist, or even progressive; it's the sort of infantile disorder that people on the left should be condemning, as it threatens to increase the chances of tens more thousands of vulnerable people becoming infected in the next few months.

I could give a flying one about the hollow victory of dumping a statue into a river. We'll be dumping tens of thousands of actual dead people into rivers soon if we dont get a 'kin grip on this situation.

I have no hesitation in calling these protestors gobshites.

Racism is not just an American thing. Does it matter where things are happening anyway?

These protests are not just about Floyd. The murder of Floyd is the trigger that has kicked things off (probably combined with a lot of what else has been going on recently).

Racism and police brutality in the US. Can anyone actually justify any action/violence against police in relation to any demonstration taking place in the UK? Protesting racism is something which only a total idiot would be against. Chanting “feck the police”, lobbing bikes at horses and chasing officers in this country? That’s another issue.

Look, no-one “likes” the police. We’d all love to go through our lives never having to deal with any of them and I certainly wouldn’t marry one! But this teenage attitude of “Cant trust them bizzies laaaa, can’t stand bacon me, FTM!! (Feck the matrix for all your non-scousers) is something people really need to grow out of.

Seen a picture of a young black girl getting in the front of people trying to stop the violence this morning, cant recall were but she was brave doing that as you say.

My daughter a nurse and she been working 12 hours shifts with a mask on which is very uncomfortable. Just hope she stays safe if a 2nd wave comes.

They are doing it for the right reasons at the wrong time because of something that was done wrong at the worst possible time.

I don’t agree with defacing the Churchill statue or any excessive vandalism, that sends the wrong message imo but I believe the people of Bristol have been trying to have that statue removed for years and an 11,000 signature petition was ignored by local MPs about it
