Thanks buddy. I suppose I see it a bit differently to some others. I don't agree with the violence, but I'm just saying what I see. I appreciate it may not be the most PC thing in the world. As I've put, I hope the officer makes a full recovery. If I was on the protest, I would have gone over, risked arrested and probably being hit with an iron bar by one of his colleagues to try to attend to him.

It isn't your stance I'm questioning Its the fact you took it on the strength of a 15 second video, when you're normally so thorough

I think they didn't necessarily dislike each other - remember reading they were set to sit down for tea at one point.

I always expected Churchill disliked him largely because he felt it was a threat to the empire.

I kind of am starting to see the point of Colston statue protesters after reading that. I wish in 300 years time I could come back just to topple any Pickford monument and throw it into the sea. "That's for not tipping it over the bar you whopper!"

Police lives matter as well. I kind of understand the American point of view that it appears their police force are targeting black people but it's not that big of a problem over here and NO ONE deserves to be assaulted just trying to do a job.

The same reporter has an interview on his Twitter with an individual who admits to obstructing the constables in the execution of their duty - stopping an arrest.

He's also caught on two videos throwing multiple projectiles at the police, so has pretty much self-incriminated himself.
