You mean the biological accurate statement she made that the trans community have chosen to interpret as anti trans , despite the little relevance to them?

All I will say on that matter is that someone who is transgender , either sex doesn't menstruate.

If people want to take that fact and turn it to offend people then is that not a concerning environment that we are creating?
Yeah, that’s the one mate. You asked if people were talking about anything else that effects history. I just drew your attention to that. Glad to have helped.

The feminist/trans debate I am glad to stay out of. Very strong emotions and no obviously correct answer.

Any woman transitioning to be a man and wants to use male spaces, go for it.

It's not really relevant to history though is it? lol

I'm pretty sure transgender is a modern issue rather than a historical one. Not that it never existed, just wasn't quite the same as it has been in the past 10 years.

Police officer pinned down and kicked in 'disgraceful' attack on north-east London street.

A "sickening" attack on police officers who stopped to help an alleged assault victim in north-east London has been condemned by the Home Secretary.

Video shared on social media showed an officer pinned down on the ground and being kicked, while his colleague is pushed when she tries to intervene.

Several men, including one with a baseball bat, are seen surrounding the officers swearing, shouting and filming on their phones, with one appearing to take a selfie during the assault.

Both officers suffered minor injuries in the incident, in Frampton Park Road, Hackney, at around 3.30pm on Wednesday, Scotland Yard said.

They had been flagged down by a member of the public who said they had been attacked and pointed them towards the suspects, a spokeswoman added.

The Metropolitan Police Federation, which represents rank-and-file officers, said attacks on officers seem to be increasing, adding: "Yet again this starkly shows the dangers metpoliceuk face and the bravery they show each and every day keeping Londoners safe."

Chairman Ken Marsh said: "We are not society's punchbags. We have families we want to go home to at the end of every shift. But the dangers are stark. And seemingly escalating."

Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, added: "I utterly condemn the disgraceful attack on two Metropolitan Police officers this afternoon.

"These brave officers were doing their duty and assisting the public. We owe them a debt of gratitude and I wish them a full and speedy recovery.

"Attacks on our police will not be tolerated. I urge anyone with information to come forward to ensure the perpetrators of this disgusting attack feel the full force of the law."

John Apter, chairman of the Police Federation, said: "Horrific, stomach churning scenes.

"Disgusting behaviour from those who attack the officers, those who film what's going on and those who do nothing. They are cowards, the lot of them."

A Scotland Yard spokeswoman said two men, aged 20 and 38, have been arrested on suspicion of assaulting police. They remain in custody in an east London police station.

Superintendent Martin Rolston said: "This incident, which was captured on someone's mobile phone is truly shocking.

"My officers went to the assistance of a member of the public - who asked for their help - after stating that they had been assaulted. What happened next is a reminder of the risks our officers take whilst going about their duties.

"It is fortunate that their injuries are not more serious. There is no place for this level of violence on our streets."

But noone has ever talked about pulling statues down, censoring history or even pulling tv shows in the name of it.

Noone is marching for gay rights , noone is fighting inequality in sexes.

Racism will have been a discussion going on as well, long before marches and protests. So what's the difference?

Hang about, I might have missed your point here but there are Pride marches every year, in every major city and there's a political party dedicated to the single issue of inequality in the sexes.

It’s a racial attack on a white police officer! Why isn’t it getting reported like that? If it was a 3/4 white guys choking a black police officer it 100% would be reported as a RACIST attack not a ‘disgraceful attack‘

COMBAT AND PUNISH RACISM AGAINST ALL PEOPLE NOT JUST WHITES

Same as there is for racism and black lives matter and all the rest of it. Probably more for minority groups with more being done than for the others mentioned. I certainly remember many discussions occuring including how the fa put something in place so a minority has to be interviewed for a coaching job now.

Yet with so much going on to support minorities , people are marching demanding we tear down statues , remove any TV show/ movie that they deem offensive and potentially spread a killer virus in the process.

So why aren't people marching now for gay rights? Gay pride is a celebration not a protest mate. Completely different thing.

Noone is talking or protesting for homosexuals , gender inequality or any other modern issue. It's selective outrage that dismisses all the good work done before now in this country. It doesn't dismiss the idea that there is an issue with it but it overshadows every single person who has campaigned , fought and been vocal about minority groups for decades. All because pulling a statue down is the way to go now.

So why not speak up for other groups? If the intention is to change things then change everything. Otherwise it is how I see it, selective outrage that is fueled not by a catalyst but by trending on social media.

I disagree with that analysis. It's still a protest for LGBTQ+ rights, whatever form it takes.

People are absolutely talking and protesting for LGBTQ+ rights and equality between the sexes. They've just not got the media lens on them at the moment.

Most of these will be right wing racists spoiling for a fight. The flags and cenotaph just give them an excuse

Why do people resort to calling others racists. I know loads of people who are upset about the flag burning at the cenotaph? Does this make them racists? .

Just seen some fella on GMB comparing Churchill to Hitler.

That'll inflame things nicely for Saturday.

Just seen that. Lol

Is this the norm or is this on tbe back of BLM attention in the media?

Mate I’m tired of seeing the same incidents getting named differently because of who committed the crime! Blacks and Whites are committing racists offences, they should be reported in the media the same and punished the same.

It's as if J K Rowling planned to say that statement when she knew there would be less attention on it.

I know it's a rant, but as a country we are a collage. Our language is the clearest example, we have this unique mixture of Scandanavian, German, French, Italian/Latin and old Celtic words. How many of us here are truly descended from the original Celts? If people don't like what people are saying, absolutely fine, lets have a discussion, but the go home nonsense needs to stop. I had someone who said it to me the other day, where does he want me to go?

Same on our forums. If you are not actively pro-BLM or pro-Antifa you are a racist/fascist.

I have mates what we're going on Saturday but have decided against due to the involvememt of TR. They don't want to be tarred with the same brush.
