I don't know if you are from Liverpool yourself - but if you are im shocked you haven't had thousands of folk sing feed the scousers and sign on to you at the matches

I've had a drunken lad in leeds have a pop on a night out years ago because he heard I had a scouse accent

I've been on a train from Birmingham and heard two blokes infront say they hate scouse and manc b******s.

If you haven't stepped out of your house recently you may not have realised some idiots just like to use any excuse to attack someone- be it there skin colour, accent, nationallity, sexual orientation, hair colour, body size.

Do I think most educated employers give a toss about any of those things providing you make them money? Nope

People like Sol Campbell just play the race card when it is not needed - I guarantee if he applied for League 2 / conference side clubs he would get a job but he in the past has gunned for Premier League / Championship jobs with little to no experience and complains when he is turned down that its because he is black.

The fact Chris Hughton gets numerous jobs in this country shows out his excuses as largely rubbish imo.

Imagine saying, 'look at this one black man' here is proof that race isn't an issue with getting a job in football.

I see they are now drawing up a list of those statues they want removing. It‘s all getting a bit stupid now. Arrested black man in USA dies because of idiot policeman, so the U.K. should tear down a statue of Sir Francis Drake. Perhaps we should burn all history books that mention historical figures or redact their names....this sort of behaviour rarely ends well....

I think there is a huge difference between eradicating the mention of somebody and taking down a statue celebrating them. I mean for example I’m fairly sure Irish history will deal with queen Victoria but they understandably didn’t want a statue of her or obviously there aren’t too many statues remaining in Germany with swastikas on them .

who goes and who stays I don’t know I think it’ll be an interesting debate as the time and years progress.

As regards the street names I’m probably more conflicted on that but I can totally see why others feel more strongly , certainly not my place to tell them how to feel .If not here already A time coming when it’ll be debated just hope it’s done reasonably and allowing civil opinions to be presented .

Well this is embarrassing for you. Here is the statement from the Met Police:

A total of 36 people were arrested during protests on Sunday, 7 June for offences including violent disorder, criminal damage and assaulting police.

A large number of people joined demonstrations that were largely peaceful and left central London after the event.

However, a number remained in the area around Whitehall and behaved antisocially before becoming violent towards officers.

Police used a variety of tactics including containment to tackle several violent and antisocial groups before dispersing the final protesters at around 02:00hrs on Monday, 8 June.

So your ‘first instinct’ on seeing this, was that this was obviously a group of salvage hunters attempting to lift an 8ft bronze from the briny with a clothes line and a pole, and they were then just going to waltz off with it and weigh it in? Right oh, whatever you say.
Given that I live just up the road from a scrap yard and see the odd things that get brought in, yes. I fully believe that someone, somewhere has put two and two together and realised there’s a load of bronze or brass floating round for whoever can grab it first, because no one’s exactly going to want their statue back.

You stick to that mate, I know where my monies at.
