I think focussing on just one factor, whatever it is, is way too narrow minded and ignores the nuances that contribute to what is clearly a complex dynamic.

To put it down to only religion is blinkered. Especially when it ignores socio-economic factors, clear mental health factors and what looks to be the impact of trauma.

Ignoring the intersectionality of all of these factors and defining and defining a person by a single characteristic is naive.

You only have to look at the relationship between economics and religion to see that neither can be viewed in isolation.

All of these things contributed to the person committing the crime he did.

Its way too much of a complex issue to just think Muslins = Bad. We need to look at the bigger picture. Maybe we could start to help by not marching to wars, dropping bombs on these countries and selling billions worth of arms to be used on civilians because they have something we want or we benefit financially. We (the country/government) need to take responsibility for this too.

We shouldn't forget in all of this just how good they are for cleaning up baby sick as well.

I can tell you that I personally have a Muslim friend, who has graduated from university. Is engaged to and set to marry a white Christian male, with the blessing of her family and wider community. All whilst still practicing her religion.

But you probably don’t want to hear about it anyway.

I think it is safe to say that as of Today at 10:14 AM this morning, we have all heard about it. ;)
