Don't use an electric taxi as a car bombHonestly the terrorists must be jarg because I don't even know what the motivation or message was.

See, that's it. That, is your level. It is so intrinsically basic, uneducated beyond the Mail, S*n and Express that your recourse is Marx, and if you don't like it here.Do you?
oh, let me guess you've read Karl Marx and firmly believe that if only we could put his ideas into operation properly we'd all be free.
ok, well if it's so terrible here why don't you head off to the communist states currently showcasing their talents. I'm sure Venezuela or Cuba will welcome you and your fervour with open arms.
Send us a post card of how great it is.

You've moved it to current affairsI’ve moved this to current affairs.
Be sensible, do not promote hate or bigotry.
answer what question you pompous balloon. What do I know of sufism? what in the whole wide world does that have to do. with the price of fish? that a religion has a transcendental aspect is neither here nor there. You ask whether I know Islam needs to be reformed. How can I know that, it's my opinion and the opinion of many people who despair for the direction of Islam and wish to reform it before it is too late.See, that's it. That, is your level. So, I was born here and I won't abandon it so that more illiterate people can spread hate.
Ever been treated by a muslim doctor, or nurse? Did you refuse in case they cut off your head ?
What do you know of the history of Cuba, of American embargos?
What do you know of how Chavez came to power? What do you know about any South American political activity? The Sandinistas and the Contras and the CIA, Peron and Videla. The disappearing of people protecting their families.
Answer any question, back it up and give your argument validity and yourself some credibility because you are simpmy making an arse of yourself now.
BTW, yes I do know about those things, I like to have an informed opinion. I read all sides and reach a conclusion. Try it, it's fun.
HahaYou've moved it to current affairs
last I checked, northern Ireland was part of the UKSame way if there was a sudden spate of terror attacks carried out in the name of Christianity or "Jesus" in the UK the average church going old dear would be looked at like some radical backward monster.
Its sad but thats how it is.
well, god this is painful sometimes, islamic extremism is a byproduct of the currently unreformed religion? It sort of goes hand in hand
Who has eulogised? Other than you?answer what question you pompous balloon. But listen to you, and your sanctimony, and your longing to condemn as racist and worse anyone who disagrees with your pin wide take on affairs.
Your eulogising of people like Castro is just a terrible indictment of the fact you've read not around the subject but according to your own preset opinions.
The latest bloodletting may be the product of a convulsion of the last hundred years, so what. Religions move all the time. but the point that Islamic texts need to be reformed and reinterpreted is entirely valid That they have not been, and are interpreted as calls to arms is what needs to be reformed. So, if attempts at reform of these texts is carried out, this will hopefully negate the mullahs who are interepreting these texts in a fundamentalist manner. Its the confidence with how you lot throw words around without the slightest understanding of what they mean that is the fantastic thing.
In response to this post, modern Islamic extremism is a product of a movement to reform Islam; it has not come from "unreformed" Islam. As was seen during the Protestant Reformation, in an attempt to return to a pure / original form of the faith (and to turn away from the modern / corrupt version) some people have ended up adopting lunatic positions which cause them and many others to lose their lives. Where Thomas Muntzer and others went in the 1520s, this clown, IS, al-Qaeda and others have gone since the late 90s.

the main point is that the religion needs to be reformed. That's not controversial, its an entirely reasonable assertion. But you go ahead and couch your accusations about 'you lot' and laud yourself as some great sage proclaiming that 'there's nothing to see here'. And all the while we miss catastrophe. by inches yesterday, No thanks to people like you who try and shut down proper debate at every turn
I checked in this morning hoping to catch up on some informed, local comment. Got to page 33, saw the thread derailed, jumped to page 54 and , you guessed it, thread is derailed. It’s turned very, very grim in here.
not true. You may hold the view that it is the reform of Islam which is causing the problem, but it's just your opinion. Forgive me, I've not seen too many headlines with 'Stop the Reform of Islam before it's too late'. No, don't think I've ever seen that. lI've seen legions of cries for reform though. So make of that what you will.Again, what I would point out to you here is that it is the act of reforming a religion that (usually) ends up in violence and that reform is invariably based on the texts of that religion (as in returning back to them) and not new elements. That is what we've seen in Christianity (several times), and Islam (at least twice).
The extremism of the Islamist type that the UK has seen motivate recent terror attacks is a fairly obvious product of such a reform movement. By calling for reform, you are making the same call as these terrorists.
It would perhaps benefit your debate if you learned about religions in general and Islam in particular, because what you've posted there is profoundly ignorant.
