I think many of the posts in this thread highlight your point…..

In summary, a scumbag attempted to blow up people either at the Remembrance Sunday event or at a Hospital for women. A cabbie appears to have been hurt but perhaps saved the day,the scumbag got exactly what he deserved and I hope it was a painful ending for him.

Politics and religion are a bit irrelevant at this point until the police and the authorities know exactly why he did it.

Personally, I just give thanks that only the scumbag died…..

Painful is right!!!....It's far, far, far more complex than that! The multitude of external factors have been covered in a multitude of posts as to why people are radicalised and why the vast, vast majority of Muslims are innocent in this. Boiling it down to the religion as the primary factor for this is downright ridiculous and frankly slightly sinister. Honestly, I'm going to leave it there. I'm starting to miss the Benitez thread!!!

it's really not that complex. the religion in its current unreformed state gives rise to fundamentalism. But yes, let's leave it there.
