If the whole of Islam was a "huge problem" to us, we'd be inundated with attacks on a weekly basis.so a religious fanatic takes a bomb to a hospital for expectant mothers in the middle of Liverpool and is only prevented from carrying out his plan for mass murder through sheer luck, and the reaction of people on here is mainly to crack jokes and frown upon any criticism of the religion which inspired said nutcase. Islam is causing the west a huge problem. And we can't even discuss/criticise it without bringing down a torrent of abuse. If this was an atrocity carried out in the name of christianity, just imagine how much stick organised religion would get on here. Really, there would be no quarter given.
Here, nothing. The thing that really troubles me is the impact on free speech. It's only happened recently but it's everywhere. As a society we've got a big and obviously ongoing problem. We have to discuss it. And we're not. I suppose on the grounds that people don't want to encourage racism. So, as a result we are hobbled at source in our ability to discuss and think our way out of this. this has to be taken on. Criticism of Islam need hold no racist undertones whatsoever. It's a discussion we need to have about the capacity of this religion to inspire mass terror,, its inability to date to reform effectively in the way that christinatiy has , and also its suitability as an organised religion to exist in the west, in its current state given its impact on free speech.
We aren't.
So why aren't the vast numbers of Muslims bad people plotting our demise? Its all one religion, according to you, with no room for separation, so surely they should all be behaving the same?
Could it be, perhaps, a very small minority? Who, therefore, are not representative of the whole, and the religion itself is not the source of the problem?
