It's a perverse interpretation of that religion, that's why.

Just like Klan cant be used to blame Christianity for lynchings and bombing churches.
is it though, Dave? If it was, why hasn't Islam been able to successfully fend off these fanatics?

For me this is the thing.

It matters not what the religion is, it’s a fanatical personality that is the problem.
yes, agreed. the other religions though, how many times do we here about a Buddhist or a Christina fanatic blowing themselves and everyone else up? Why is that.

So surreal watching the taxi explode and then the driver getting out of it a few seconds later. Was definitely not his time to go thankfully. Can only guess at this point that the back of his driving seat somehow protected him from the majority of the blast. Doubt he will ever get over it, seeing someone explode that close to you and surviving with just minor injuries.

Whoever the brainwashed fanatic was who self exploded, you completely failed and wont be missed whatsoever. World is much better off without you.

It's not the place to discuss this so rather not turn it into one and keep it on topic for the most part.

I will say, saying Islam is a problem to the west is extremely broadly putting a far bigger issue in the world.

Mainly because any attack to us is normally because of something we have done to Islamic countries. Islam doesn't hate the west, extremist groups don't generally 'hate the west'. They do operate in a tit for tat and for every innocent westerner killed in a terrorist attack, the west have killed an innocent Muslim.

If we stop killing innocent people in the name of military , we may stop terrorist attacks against us.
Also worth pointing out that when talking about radicalisation, the fella who shot those innocent people in Plymouth was equally radicalised, and there have been several terror attacks by right wing extremists who are also equally radicalised as Islamic terrorists. (One was that fella who deliberately drove into a crowd outside of a mosque)

The problem is more radicalisation than specifically Islam. It seems to be a case that when marginalised people end up surrounding themselves in a echo chamber, which essentially radicalises them as instead of being challenged for having problematic and dangerous views they’re patted on the back for it.
