There`s a lot of evidence, that the authorities knew that vulnerable girls ( Independent Rochdale Abuse Investigation ) and lads ( Cyril Smith ) where being groomed by Asian and white fellas in the case of Cyril Smith and did nothing for a whole host of reasons. In the case of the Rochdale Abuse Scandal, the fear of being labelled as racist by the authorities and them sitting on their hands, was a big reason they got away with it for so long - that was a finding of the enquiry.
Let`s not beat around the bush, but predators, will use anything that will gain them access to their victims and certainly in the historic abuse in Rochdale the gang of men involved, used their ethnicity to their advantage.
That`s not racist, it`s fact, just the same as Cyril Smith, using his position to abuse young boys.
