That's inevitable I guess. Have to say that what stops me going to a match is the fact that it isn't local. I have this unwritten rule in my head that if I travel more than 30 miles it has to be an overnighter to make it worth while. Over 70 miles then a week. I just like to leave a minimum footprint. I'm not an eco-warrior, I'm just quietly aware that the planet and its resources aren't ours to exhaust, we are just borrowing them for a few years.

As an enormous Floyd fan I'm honoured, even though I don't quite get the reference! lol

All we need is for most to have that attitude and we can fix the planet without recourse to the muppets in power.

I gave an impassioned lesson to some A level chem students once, about CO2 and unnecessary car use and the myth of catalytic converters - only to then watch as one got into his car and drove up the road (200m) to the newsagents. He suffered for that mercilessly the next lesson!
