...Paul Power's overall career suggests he was ordinary but he was very good for us in that 1987 championship winning campaign, playing LB when the underrated Van den Hauwe moved to CB for most of that season. Also a shout for Wayne Clarke who was a fleeting visitor to our club but demonstrated what a decent goalscorer he was.

Naismith. I followed his career from Kilmarnock days and thought he was better than most gave him credit for.
100% trier and a nice chap too.

Kilbane. Bit of a knock and run merchant but his effort in some of today's players would be great.

Naismith. Knew what he could do and if played in the right position could do it to a decent level. Great attitude and classy off the field.

Similar to Lee Carsley.

At times it wasn't obvious what he actually did, but his work rate was incredible and a proper selfless team player.

Both outstanding footballers, and if Joe hadn't had his career destroyed by a yard-dog, he would have cemented his place amongst the Everton legends, i am certain of it!

Back on piste, Mick Bernard was one from the 70's and George Wood was another!
