Posted via Mobile DeviceWipes tear. God bless that Moyes - boss. Even if in the end Lescott goes, Moyes will have gotten a lot more than 15 million for him and if he's going to part with players, his job to make sure Everton gets the best possible deal. Well played.

Agreed.
Some are missing the point here. I'm made up we have a Manager who'll fight tooth and nail to keep hold of our best players. It sends out a clear message "Improve your bid".
Moving on, Moyes has acted with integrity through it. Lescott has just let us down, transfer request on the eve of the season, saying he didn't want to play the Arsenal game, training badly and letting down his teammates, not playing in a European game due to attitude.
Theres a line he crossed, and it's the one that central to our current progress: no-one is bigger than the team.
If he goes then Moyes has got at least another 5m for him.
Instead of trying to be ultra-critique look at the facts: Lescott is one bad snide.
Nice one Moyes.
I'm getting a laugh out of those who've said that Moyes hasn't handled this properly.
"Hasn't handled this properly?" You're on crack if you think Moyes has any blame in this mess.
Moyes said he wasn't selling our best players. End of. Yet City kept on and on with it both with us and in the press. That's doesn't include what they've probably done behind the scenes with Joleon and/or his agent.
Even the press is now starting to say that "Everton must sell.
You can blame Joleon Lescott.
You can blame Manchester City.
You can blame the press.
But you can't blame David Moyes in this.
I'm astounded that Moyes is receiving praise for his handling of this situation. It's all very well admiring his principled stand against Manchester City, even though that may well only be posturing in an attempt to extort the maximum fee. However, there's much to criticise. We already needed defensive cover but the prospect of Lescott leaving exacerbates this need & time is running out. Undoubtedly the situation would have been a factor in our poor performance at the weekend, the result shows that Moyes failed to manage this successfully. Moyes has now criticised the player in public - I fail to see how this is good management. In publicly criticising Lescott, Moyes has not done anything to improve his relationship with the player, or Lescott's relationship with the squad or the supporters - & yet we are to believe Moyes wishes to keep the player at Everton. But if Lescott is to be sold it will only be if Manchester City match Moyes valuation of the player & yet it's hard to see how his criticism will enhance the players value to any prospective purchasers.
Double Bluff mate...if City want him as badly as they say they do then its gonna cost them £30 million.
If They don't then he goes nowhere just like Moysey has said all along, and JL is made to look like a proper ****.
Moysey knows its WC year and Jolean needs to be playing regular and his form needs to good to be on the plane for SA. So he's covedred all his bases, and now the heat is back on JL and Man City
Moysey is a top banana
