Yep I'm gonna agree and class it as a point gained. These games after a Thursday night match are a pain in the arse and generally most teams struggle....well actually it just seems to be Spurs lol

I'd have had him on before to be honest, we lacked any control on the ball all game and Eto'o dropping deep to pick it up left Lukaku to isolated I'm my opinion. Osman's like Pienaar in the respect he's the link man and gets the play further forward with a smart pass, we never had Sunderland on the back foot for a real sustained period and he'd have helped with that today.

But genrally we were poor all round, besides Jags, Distin and McGeady, it was a real European hangover game and I'm glad we got a point in the end.

Thought McCarthy was best player on the pitch meself....agree with the euro hangover point tho.

Good as some of our midfielders are there's only really Pienaar and Osman that have that in our squad although I'm desperately hoping Barkley develops it I think he will always be more effective against the better teams who come out and try to beat us leaving Barkley space to attack which just wasn't there today.

I agree with this 100%. Osman should have been brought on earlier also and someone earlier in this thread quoted that Leon is a complete liability and that's garbage. Against teams that defend deep with 2 banks of four Leon is one of the only players we have clever enough to split it, who cares if he gets knocked off the ball once or twice. should start in games against the poorer sides in the prem who are going to try for a point.
