The difference between 5th-8th and Champions League is the quality of our bench, Leon's not a player for our future, decent enough over his career when we were a mid table team looking for Europe, but if we want to push on we have to stop accepting mediocrity.
When all players are fit I think we've got a great bench mate so I'm not gonna pin my blame on Osman as he makes my benches bench which is the bench after the main bench.

Seriously though, forums attract strong opinions, which may or may not, reflect the consensus.
The poll gives the lurkers chance to express how they feel ... which Martinez and Osman won't give two hoots about, but, nevertheless, the poll is there for those who bother to vote.
I voted NO
I suppose I could be described as a lurker.this is the 1st time ive voted on GOT and ive said yes.he certainly wouldn't make my 1st 11 but is a useful squad player in my opinion. I can understand why some people don't rate him but don't understand the hatredNope, tempting though it is.

Did he come on 10 minutes too early or too late today @Dithering Dougie ? Just joking mate![]()
I'd have had him on before to be honest, we lacked any control on the ball all game and Eto'o dropping deep to pick it up left Lukaku to isolated I'm my opinion. Osman's like Pienaar in the respect he's the link man and gets the play further forward with a smart pass, we never had Sunderland on the back foot for a real sustained period and he'd have helped with that today.
But genrally we were poor all round, besides Jags, Distin and McGeady, it was a real European hangover game and I'm glad we got a point in the end.
