Mirallas, Ofoe(club brugge), Cahill leaving and that Stubbs would not be getting the Everton job, Before these stories were in the press.

So If he tells us Baines has not been offered a contract then he hasn't.

I think that anything over £15m would be a great deal for us. The squad needs a lot of work so if we can sell a 28 year old left back for a large fee we will be better off.

Leighton Baines is a world class player, but look at our midfield for God's sake. We cannot go into a season with it, we need new players quickly and if we can sell a player in a position that is not all that important for an absurd fee then we should.

Moyes isn't our mangager anymore, mate. We will actually focus on using the midfielders and not just hoofing it over them.

In terms of a central based midfielders we need 3 players. A controller capable of dropping between the centre backs and circulating possession and dictating play from deep, and of course have the defensive ability to read the game and break up play. I really don't see anyone capable of doing that effectively, Gibson maybe, but I am not a fan. Secondly, we need someone who can play in between the aforementioned player and the attacking midfielder, whom I will come onto in a moment. For this role, we need a player who can control a midfield, quite simply, we have nobody who can do that. Lastly, and I think we are more stocked in this area, we need a player with good dribbling, mobility and creativity capable of carrying the ball in the final third and creating clear cut chances. Pienaar or maybe Osman can do this.
