Left Back Debacle

I agree he would be good, but he is their only left back, so they wouldn't sell him to us.

..I think we need athletes. I fear that players with his frame have only so long before the physicality of this league catches up. It did with Pienaar and it has with Baines. I also think it caught up with Cahill but he was ultra competitive.

I have a feeling we're not getting a left back is because we've agreed to take Tierney or sessegnon next summer

it must be.

Yeah, seriously.

Not the most gifted, but gave 100%, would be more reliable than most of what we're fielding today AND gave a damn about Everton unlike some of the gutless players out there.

Literally a perfect no.2 in my opinion. Not first choice ever, but good enough as a backup.

I liked the fella but he wasn't really any good after his injury (Debatable if he was any good before it either).

I am seeing this a lot though. Being rubbish now doesn't mean who should rue getting ridding of players who were not really good enough either in the past.

its criminal that it wasn't addressed immediately. Playing in arguably the most competitive league in the world with a RB for potentially 2 months while our "twilight" of his career LB is absurd!
