Last Film You Watched

Tried watching Paterson the other night. The sync was all out so we stopped after about 15 mins, but my god, what a dreadfully boring film. Sync or no sync, won't be returning to that bore-a-thon.

Tried watching it a few weeks ago and lasted less than 20 minutes

I thought it was great, but we've got 880 pages of different opinions here which makes this thread so good.

The Whistleblower - A movie on Netflix based on the true events where Kathryn Bolkovac was part of a UN Peace Keeping force in Bosnia who was dismissed when she tried to expose Sex Trafficing in Bosnia that other UN Peacekeepers, including Americans, were complicit in.

Starring Rachel Weisz, Monica Bellucci and Benedict Cumberbatch.

Not a bad watch at all

I watched "The Hatton Garden Job" last night.

Oh dear me. Such an absolute waste of around 90 minutes I have ever, ever seen. Total rubbish. Please don't even bother.

Saw the new Guardians of the Galaxy film last night at the midnight opening in town. Not as good as the first one for me but still enjoyable enough. I'd give it a 6.5 but that might be a little harsh so 7/10.

Kill Bill Vol.1. Although it was unfortunately in German. Uma Thurman still looks hot though, even though she was having to converse in a horrible language.

American Pie I've seen all the sequels and bits of the first one, but never all the way through. I really like the sequels, and although American Pie had some classic moments, its not actually a very good film. AP2, The Wedding and The Reunion were MUCH better.

I saw Larry Lamb peddling this rubbish not long ago. Basically, his version of the film was rushing to get finished because it was up against another production company who were making a competing film about the same thing. Kind of explains any lack of quality. Who cares about art, or even just decent entertainment when there is money to be made off the back of a bank job?

Not expecting much at all, I started to watch "London has fallen" on Netflix. Holy Sh_t, what a massive steaming freshly-laid turd on the carpet of actually good movies. Shameless like a puppy, but more-so shameless because the adults who were responsible for this turd just walk around it expecting others to like it. And puppy's can't help themselves. It is awful in the way that a child screams on an airplane. But at least on an airplane there are other actual unpleasantries to experience, such as narrow uncomfortable seats, recycled air, stinky bathrooms, and not enough alcohol. All of these things were remedied in my own home and there was still no salvation. It wanders aimlessly from xenophobic and stereotypical cliche-to-cliche until it bumps into the credits. I give it thirty-five turds down.

Sleepless - Quality hollywood cinematography, but generic in every other way.

Foxx is good, if not pretty much continuing his character from Miami Vice 2006 (which I actually liked).

Michelle Monaghan, token angry "girl-power" character, zzzzz. Why do people so often do these roles a disservice? Carly Chaikin & Grace Gummer prove it can be done superbly in things like Mr Robot.

4/10
