Last Film You Watched

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.2 (2017)

Fan-bloody-tactic. Yes, slightly less than the first one but still enjoyed every second.

The characters are all just so likeable unlike some other superhero films which puts this ahead for me.

Yes the bit with Ego as an actual planet is daft...but that's true to the comics to be fair to them. And they did it well.
Also, had no idea Sly was in this.
And it's sad at the end.

But then has like 5 end credit scenes which are ace especially the Teen Groot one!

4 Championship Belts out of 5

Just watched all the Hobbit films on Bluray, I watched them at the Cinema when they came out, but not seen them for ages, and got the Bluray box set for Chrimbo. I remembered a rubbish bit at the end though...

There is a part at the end where Legolas' Dad tells him to go and find Arathorn, that his son (Aragorn) could be a good King one day... My problem with this is that,The Hobbit is at least 60 years before the start of LOTR and Aragorn is supposed to be a regular man and not ancient in LOTR

NERD ALERT: Aragorn was 87 in Lord Of The Rings. He's a Dunedan, and their lives could spam over 200 years, thanks to one of their ancestors being an Elf (Elrond's brother).

Another film I watched last night was Calvary. It's a black comedy I guess. Loads of messed up characters n famous actors in small roles. Well worth a watch

...just watching Hunt for Red October (again) on Sky. I've seen it lots but never noticed a cameo from Gates McFadden (Beverley Crusher in Star Trek) as Alec Baldwins wife. Only says a few words at the start of the film but I think it's the first time I've ever seen her in anything but Star Trek.

Currently trying to watch Logan, but my usual provider is being unreliable so I'm only 30 mins in. Looks good so far.

Saw the new Beauty and the Beast with Mrs. Tree the other day - loved it. A worthy successor to the original. Emma Watson has a half-decent signing voice BUT you have to work hard to not see Hermione Granger on a gap year.
