Unpopular opinion, but I prefer the slow burn and varied concepts of 28 years later to the torture porn and cartoon villainy of the bone temple.
I liked the Kelso stuff and the visuals, but the out and out cartoon evil and gratuitous violence they went down with the Jimmy's felt a bit lazy to me, I wonder if Danny Boyle would have made those choicesI definitely preferred 28 Years Later too, but I think both did a great job of making two pretty distinct films from one overarching story
Can believe I’ve only just discovered that Spider in Goodfellas (shot in the foot by Joe Pesci’s, Tommy) was played by Michael Imperioli - The Sopranos Christopher Moltisanti.
Too add to that, while Karen Hill / Lorraine Bracco was famously also in both, along with Frank Vincent, I never realised Tony Sirico, Vincent Pastore were in Goodfellas too.
There's actually 27 actors featured in both!
Watched Basic the other night,it was ok but now I’m beginning to think there is more to it than I assumed at the end.
Maybe someone who watches it can give their considered opinion.
I watched 20 mins then switched off .... a shame because I thoroughly enjoyed the previous filmUnpopular opinion, but I prefer the slow burn and varied concepts of 28 years later to the torture porn and cartoon villainy of the bone temple.
Yeah I watched on Friday, what came through for me that I was a little surprised was that it seemed he was quite bitter for getting the blame for the Beatles breaking up. Was also surprised at how big Mull of Kintyre was which was the biggest selling single at time of release.Watched this on Friday. Thought it was OK. There wasn't any new revelations or anything.
Yes,sorry should have included some of the cast.![]()
This?
It's a while since I've seen it. I think it's an action mystery, at it's core it's a recruitment exercise to see if she's smart enough to see through the lies and work out the facts. Hence how it wraps up...Yes, sorry should have included some of the cast.
I did think it was about recruiting her,but a very convoluted way to examine her ability. It's a while since I've seen it. I think it's an action mystery, at it's core it's a recruitment exercise to see if she's smart enough to see through the lies and work out the facts. Hence how it wraps up...
Just to add, it's a budget film to make, there's no huge production, they've paid the actors and that'll bring an audience. Can't expect to release avatar or titanic every fortnight.
I was suprised they completely ignored 'Give Ireland back to the Irish'. They ran a narrative that he was uncool (arguably true) and focused on John Lennons activism. But that was a pretty ballsy song to release at that time in the 70s.Yeah I watched on Friday, what came through for me that I was a little surprised was that it seemed he was quite bitter for getting the blame for the Beatles breaking up.
