There's a very tongue in cheek reference to it in a scene in The Sopranos; when Christopher is waiting ages to be served in the bakery - the guy serving disrespects him until Christopher finally explodes.

Just checked. Same actor but before he was cast as Vito, the character was called Gino apparently…
