When your gf/mrs/partner wants you to take her to Paris...

Whack Irreversible on with the romantic allure of the Belucci / Cassel husband and wife, lead actor combo...set in beau Paris with Belucci wearing a lovely frock...

GOOD NEWS
She'll never want to visit France (let alone Paris) again ;)

BAD NEWS
You may not be having sexual relations until the trauma wears off

Jesus Christ, you genuinely are vile aren't you.

Over the past week or so I have watched (for the very first time) the first 7 (seven!) of the Fast and Furious series.

Few points:

  • Obvious budget/production hike for 5/6/7.
  • Vin Diesel is really good at being Vin Diesel. That's about the limit of his abilities.
  • The 2nd is by far the worst one. Not even Eva Medes is able to save it.
  • Number 3 (Tokyo drift) actually fits between 6 and 7.
  • The Baddie in 6 is better than his Brother (Jason Statham being..... Jason Statham) in 7.
  • Gal Gadot is beautiful.
  • So is pretty much every extra in every race scene.
  • The story for every one is utter nonsense.
  • I'm far more stupid today than when I started watching them.
  • Can't wait to watch the others :D

Damsel.

This is one of those films you’ll either love or switch off after 10 mins.

Robert Pattison plays a dopey, but rich young man travelling across the Mid West, with a hired preacher, to rendezvous with his bride to be and het married.

Pattison is good, the cinematography is beautiful, but not a lot happens and the film just kind of ambles along.

At the midway point his bride to be takes over in the lead. ( Mia Wasikowska ) Who is also very good.

It’s a black comedy, but it’s a bit muddled tbh, as the funny parts are too spaced out.

Something to watch on a lazy afternoon.
