Paprika is one of the most mind-boggling films I’ve ever seen.
Anime and animated films are often way too weird or way too standard. Paprika is definitely one of the former to the point I'm not sure if I liked it. The Evangelion films are great though imo, with the last one coming out today I think.Paprika is one of the most mind-boggling films I’ve ever seen.

Excellent. Somehow missed this one. Can see Nolan beginning to make his mark.
The twist was very obvious in hindsight but was very cleverly crafted by way of distractions so that I didn’t see it till late. Really smartly entwined with the theme of the film.
The Illusionist came out around the same time with Ed Norton, another great filmThe Prestige.
