Last Film You Watched

I thought it was terrible...poor acting, unfunny nonsense and lots of preaching throughout.

Massively distorted the actual facts and instead showed its true colours at the end.

0/10 i couldnt even give it a 1.
Watched it last night.

0 is harsh considering what's out there.

However, a cast that includes Oldman, Streep and Cromwell were completely wasted on what could have been a decent retelling of a worthwhile story.

WW84 - thought it was pretty weak compared to the first 83 one, which I enjoyed when I saw it at the cinema. This one just seemed to be really lacking in energy and was way too long. Plus, Mando was badly miscast, and the 1984 setting wasn't properly exploited. Disappointing, as I thought it looked quite promising.

finding jack charlton. documentary/film. thought this was excellent. sad and moving at times to see the toll dementia had on him before he died. great footage and interviews from his times with england, leeds and then as manager of ireland. 10/10

the empty man. horror/drama. probably half an hour too long but not bad for what it is. its got some mixed reviews but i thought it was decent, worth a watch. 7/10.

also watched the mel brooks classic 'blazing saddles' again recently, still as funny now as then. wouldn't get away with most of that script these days.
Blazing Saddles is one of the funniest films of all time. Sadly, you're right when you say such a film wouldn't see the light of day in today's world. Most people wouldn't see that the joke was purely on the white folk & their prejudices. They'd be falling over each other on social media with their disgust & outrage.
