Yeah, I get that, that's why I got it on DVD. But we both really struggled through it. I've enjoyed similar films like The Insider (not serial-killing but similar in pacing & tone), plus Fincher's 90's work was superlative.

Also something about Jake Gyllenhaal I'm not keen on: Donnie Darko was great but Enemy & now Zodiac has really put me off him. Just plain boring & pretentious vibes. We've got Nightcrawler on bluray which we'll try at some point, so it's last-chance saloon for him.

I would keep Nightcrawler in its case mate...

Is that the one where they're running through some kind of factory or something trying to avoid being crushed or burned by all the CGI machines? It looks like something from that old kids show Knightmare. Horrible looking film.

CGI Yoda is horrible. Puppet Yoda from RotJ is still believable.

We watched Tom hanks in Cast Away last Night
Hadn't seen it before and thoroughly enjoyed it from the back story , the really scary plane crash and him marooned for 4-5 years before getting off the island and the carefully managed story of finding his life and love and how things have moved on

Law Abiding Citizen, Gerard Butler, starts off very gripping(love a good old revenge movie) drifts to become a little crazy towards the end. Not bad though when you have scrolled through 200 possible films to watch and you’re get a sore thumb

The Road isn't a patch on the book, as they bottled it when they made the film, leaving out a great deal of the graphic stuff, plus Vigo Mortenson is miscast in the lead, but it's still not a bad film.

Dead Men's shoes is ultra low budget, but still remains Paddie Considines best film imo.

My Mrs read the book(The Road) and she knows I’m a fan of post apocalyptic films, so the fact she raved about the book, she got me the DVD. I thought I was in for an epic, especially seeing the cast. Disappointed in the end. I refuse to read the book now.

I enjoyed this actually , but the ending was awful , left unanswered questions which left me somewhat unfulfilled.
