Horrible film.

That's the one, yep, doubt it was low budget either, waste of time and money.
Its a Michael Bay film....what do you expect?

Pacific Rim was awful...really bad 2/10 film.
I have to ask. What did you expect from a film about giant robots fighting giant monsters?

A meaningful plot? Deep character development? Subtext?

Why not just take the movie for what it is and let your mind go and just enjoy the spectacle.

Lets see here:

Main character has loss and retreats.......check
Humanity needs saving........check
Giant expletive robots.......check
Giant expletive monsters......check
Mega fights destroying cities with reckless abandon......check

It hit every point that I, and quite a few others wanted it to hit.

Red Sparrow was decent...not a 'thinking mans' spy film but ideally the beginning of a franchise.

Didn't mind Jennifer Lawrence in this...not a great effort but not off putting.

I was expecting a movie with giant robots fighting giant monsters that would be fun and have great FX, with the bonus of it being helmed by an artistic director and Idris Elba killing it as the Pres.

What I got was a totally boring film, with the dullest of characters, no sign of artful camera work and anal fight scenes as incomprehensible as those from the modern Transformers movies, with Idris Elba utterly cringing it as the Pres.

Yeah. Not a patch on Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy but not bad. Some obvious twists but overall not as bad 2 hours. I wouldn't mind going to that spy sex college for a term.

The film's inspired by the true story of Anna Chapman. I've met a few high-end Russian ladies. Interesting bunch.

Finding Your Feet

Not for folks under 45

Smart British film. Funny, endearing, good performances by Celia Imrie and Tim Spall in particular

Resonated with me in relation to the two sisters and my own experiences with brother.

8/10
