Lacina Traore

I very much doubt any insurance policy we have on Traore will include paying his wages whilst he's out with a non career ending injury, he was injured when he arrived with an indeterminable return date. What company is going to give you a policy that means there already paying compensation even before he's kicked a ball, their not charities.

i think if he was definitely comng back next season, we wouldn't have flurted with the idea of giving him back to monaco when the injury occured. wouldn't make sense. if moncao wanted him back to asses the injury with their physios they would have taken him back ala delafeou rather than leave it as our decision.
Yeah, I don't think it likely we have agreed a 2nd season loan - isn't Falco rumoured to be going to chelsea, if so guess Monaco will need him back?

It was just the only reason I could justify us paying us wages when he was too injured to play ie we would have him next year so despite being injured would be worthwhile him settling in etc. But perhaps as Azurri says it is the insurance company who are paying.

It's not the same injury, it's his other leg for a start

Maybe the "Fluffing" was about next season.

If you look at the details of the deal that took him to Monaco. It didint look they actually wanted him, as they said even before they cmpleted, that he would go out on loan.

You can make money on players these days, by loaning out for 2 season, then selling 18 months before contract end.

Its a costs we cannot afford - big Sam must be having a good laugh! - we really must get our contracts more water tight than this we knew he had dodgy hamstrings the medical team should have looked at KONE more closely too!

Hang on I've just realised it's March and the season finishes in May. Insurance company probably aren't actually.

I know that, but this is a bit lore serious isn't it?
It's not a career threatening injury, it's just a hammy tear i.e. routine & they won't be covered for that, as the risk factor would make the premiums prohibitive. We'll be standing his wages mate.

should we base everyone's potential on one game after 5 months out injured?
Fair point TJ, but injuring his other leg in a warm up doesn't bode well and he himself confesses to being a bit weak in the air. He also seemed to spend a lot of the Swansea game on his backside on the ground...a bit like Jelavic was doing before we sold him.
Still, I am open to being pleasantly surprised if he makes it back for the final games of the season though his fitness will again then be an issue. Here's hoping that he proves me wrong if he gets a chance.
