I presume we are only paying his wages when he is fit to play and/or we have agreed a 2nd season loan with Monaco.

If it is anything different would much rather we send him back and give one of our youngsters game time if we have an injury problem, that is after all what we are going to have to do till the last few games anyway

If he will be out of action for 6-8 weeks, how many games are there left by then? 5? 6?
He will probably not be fit for fight the first 2 games. So in total, 3 or 4 league games for him. They better be worth it...

i agree, but posters often criticise without any knowledge of how the loan contract is set up
I doubt Monaco will be giving us a refund due to his hamstring popping in this case though mate. We'll still be paying whatever %age of his wages we are contracted to.

I hope that he isn't expected to stay next season. Not a lot of pace or physical power from the brief bit we saw...not much good in the air (although Big Dunc might be able to improve that?) and legs that seem more fragile than a crane fly.
If Roberto is hoping that he stays it would seem that Bill has already decided that we are not going to try to make a move to sign Lukaku permanently. Shame.

should we base everyone's potential on one game after 5 months out injured?

I presume that there would have been a loan fee? Would that be covered by a insurance policy, or has that money gone down the drain also?

What money? It will go on lawn mowers or other "expenses"
Do really think we will go out and spend £20+m on Lukaku in the summer?
I would be surprised if we spent £20m on the hole squad.:(

If we don't spend upwards of £15m this summer without any sales I'll fume as much as anyone, but there's absolutely no excuse this time.

i think if he was definitely comng back next season, we wouldn't have flurted with the idea of giving him back to monaco when the injury occured. wouldn't make sense. if moncao wanted him back to asses the injury with their physios they would have taken him back ala delafeou rather than leave it as our decision.

Totally agree mate, but this is Blue Bill`s Everton we are talking about, and any chance of CL football went in the January transfer window.
