KIRKBY MOVE REJECTED

David Maddock's will stand by him. He'll be along in a minute: "Ok, so what he ****ed two stadium bids up. Look at Blood Brothers...a roaring success....be careful or you might get what you wish for - an investor".

Oh yeah, I forgot about that, we have the Investec money just secured last month. Get in there.

Secured against what??

Just bloody pay (most) the money back

As to where from here, I can see 2, possibly 3 options.

1. We redevelop goodison. Would take a while, but we'd get there. Start with main stand and work anti-clockwise

2. Ground share. Makes financial sense, but I don't want to be seen as the lesser partner in it, which the [Poor language removed] would want. And I'd fear for our identity eventually.

3. Somthing like this
Would be perhaps our last chance for a completely new, waterfront stadium. Heard about different possible subsidies for it, maybe making it not much more than kirkby.

That's just three well known ideas. I'm sure if someon bothered to look into it, there could be more.

As Davek said, this has the possibility to be an exciting tim for our club.

Those pics are good and something I could get on board. However, they are not amazing and are not blowing me over, so I may just hop off again.

There just a general idea of what could be achieved. I'm sure someone cold knock up much better ones

Peel own the land, but are struggling to get going on it. They cold really do with an iconic anchor building. Something big. Something used by lots of people.

Wonder what?

The RS are distancing themselves as far away as they can for a shared stadium, IF it happens and I doubt it will, they are in prime postion to call all the shots thats for sure.

It would appear so, superficially - but the only way it will happen is if RS need to cut their costs & can't afford to go completely on their own - so they'll only invite EFC on board if they need us.
The idea is so obviously the sensible way forward for both clubs & the city it's inconceivable that it could actually ever happen.

Christ, we'v had such a lucky escape......

What i dont get is the people saying now we'll be a medioca club!!!

So what there trying to say is that IF we moved to kirkby, we would have bought Ronalod an Messi an won everything..?
