KIRKBY MOVE REJECTED

Well Dave it won't be any of that Dubai mob after what came out today and that will also screw the RS.

I repeat the only way the club can go forward is is someone buys all the shares so he has total control, clears the debt and then puts a load more cash into the club. Can anyone see that happening, I cannot.

I'm just a bit surprised that for everything that Davek has gone about not having a plan B, his plan B is continue anarchy in the hope the clubs board collapses and we attract "good" investment despite the trend of clubs being took over by absolute fools in the past few years.

You hope, what if we end up imploding a bit now?
I dont want to go over past arguments, but that's why it was important to have a Plan B. But we move on. Because of that lack of foresight, I think we are in for a period of flux to be honest. This will have the same effect the last stadium failure had: boardroom change.

I dont think we have anything to fear on the pitch regarding relegation, though. We have to absorb this decision and see how the owners react. Maybe it will get worse before getting better, but, imo, we dodged a bullet there in terms of the long term well being of the club.

I don't see how its made the long term future any rosier.

The getting worse before getting better bit, we cant afford it mate. It will cost us money, players and momentum which we worked hard to gain. Worst case scenario is that it could cost us our manager too as he's repeatedly stated his ambition.

We all knew that the reality of Everton without investment would be very bleak, were about to find out and hope that something, somehow snaps us out of it.

To be fair, how can any alternative with parties other than Tesco/Knowsley be brought forward to a substantial degree when an exclusivity clause was in place? Where was the incentive for other consortiums? How could there be a Plan B in place in other words? That's cleared out the way now, though, so we shall see. If you're not happy with that answer though, ask me again and I'll conjure something up from my little ready-made stadium bag. (y)

Still want that tshirt like.

It will be interesting to see if LCC can come up with the goods now. They've bent over backwards for our neighbours.

Eyes are on Bradley mate. The thing is, and I'm aware I'm using this like a mantra that you dont want to hear, Bradley has always said that for Everton to do a deal in Liverpool it'd need Everton coming through with their part of the funding. That's why he said two years ago a change of ownership was required. I honestly believe that before any new stadium plans are brought forward a change of boardroom personnel will be required. Whether that means someone lumping in with this lot or sweeping them away, who knows. I dont believe anything is imminent, so I undestand your concern that we'll drift. I think we will too.
