I think the point regarding the name is that she has at some point made a conscious decision to change it from an english sounding to a more African sounding name. One can only imagine the reason for doing so, is that was what she felt better represented her identity. It doesnt do much justice for her claimed desire to be regarded as primarily or wholly British.

FFS Pete, the woman is born in Britain. She's British. The member of the aristocracy questioning her couldn't accept this because of her name and appearance. You dont have to look too hard to find the racism here.

So, to put the ball in your court, what does count as racism? Name calling? Comments behind your back? Having your job application ignored because of your name? Being beaten up? Football fans making monkey noises at you? What's your threshold for racism?

If the 83 year old hadn’t have gotten all racist none of this would have happened. The desire to victim blame is pretty grim. The royals have a long history of racist behaviour that is largely excused cos they are posh.
