2017/18 Kevin Mirallas

Thought we should get rid for a while - he offers nothing, maybe a performance every 6-10 games. Never really creates anything and very predictable to defend against and who is never going to improve now. Give me a Lookman any day, someone who can only improve and adds that element of unpredictability when he gets the ball. Also basically lost his place to Gylfi who is a massive upgrade.

With both in the squad I think we were stronger. They are good rotation players. If we want to achieve something we need 2 teams in the squad as the high number of games going to come. I don't believe some of the back-up can do better jobs than Barry and Mirallas.

I don't disagree with that, but they're different situations. Koeman didn't want Barry to leave but did the right thing by the player. If Mirallas leaves I'd presume it's because Koeman isn't that arsed about keeping him.

Mind you, until the window closes, we won't have the full picture.

Fingers crossed.

And getting rid of the deadwoords too, hopefully.

Maybe it's the same thing as with Barry mate, Mirallas has been here about 6 years now so maybe Koeman thinks he deserves the chance to move in a world cup year if he wants to get the game time?

Overall a good way to manage veteran players, and ensures you don't end up with a steaming dog turd in the dressing room like Terry was

Quite possibly mate.

Chances are Kev's just had to go home for family reasons and he's staying here anyway. Mind you, a transfer window wouldn't be complete without a "Mirallas leaving" rumour, though this time, I suspect there's some truth in it.

He's ran his cause and is on the decline, being more and more ineffective, perfect time for him to go I think..

In certain games he's a better option than Lookman and Lennon, also makes a good sub at times, he likes to close down and is full of energy which is what Koeman likes. Be very surprised if he leaves now, unless part of a deal.
