QUESTION FROM A SHAREHOLDER…

“Looking at the record turnover…most of it from TV rights…the core business, the commercial side, stayed the same, slightly backwards; you say we’re punching above our weight how long can we go on without investment…I hear every week…I read the paper and there’s club’s being bought…if you’re looking 24/7 why haven’t we found someone……… Is one of the reasons no on has come in for Everton is that the board are asking for too much money?

Bill Kenwright…

“No”

SAME SHAREHOLDER…

“Some clubs have consortiums bidding for these clubs… Peter Trembling former commercial director, recently left the club, we’ll never find out why, within three or four months of leaving he found investors…middle east based…to buy Notts County………if Everton are for sale how much are you asking for the club?

Bill Kenwright:

“Here we go…oh please………come on”

SHAREHOLDER:

“You’re not answering the question…”

Bill Kenwright:

“I’m not answering your question…I’m bored with your question…you’re not getting an answer to the question.”

“The agenda today is all about communication. As has always been the case at Everton we stand up on every issue…nothing is off limits tonight…no sense of a closed door or a closed mind…that’s not the way Everton are…Everton are proud of the way it communicates.”

Pathetic.

Pathetic.

There would have been context to all this, which merely posting on this site, cannot pick up.

But yeah, that does appear to be "pathetic".

Correct Neb. Like Kenwright answering the same question several times previously. Theres also a bit inbetween cut out after the Notts County question.

To which bit?

There was discussion (involving Elstone) about Notts County. It certainly wasn't as blunt as KEIOC have tried to put across.

He was first asked how much the club was worth - he said he couldn't say

Then asked is he asking too much, Kenwright said no.

The fan then mentioned ex Everton employee who got a buyer for Notts Country.

Got asked again how much the club was worth - Kenwright said he was bored. To be fair, he did already say he couldn't say.

So as Neb said, "There would have been context to all this, which merely posting on this site, cannot pick up." - it wasn't as bad KEIOC would like everyone to think.

But surely he must have been able to say how much he was asking for the club. He is meant to have been selling it 24/7 for the last 7 years or so. So out of context or not :

"The agenda today is all about communication. As has always been the case at Everton we stand up on every issue…nothing is off limits tonight…no sense of a closed door or a closed mind…that’s not the way Everton are…Everton are proud of the way it communicates.”

"I’m not answering your question…I’m bored with your question…you’re not getting an answer to the question.”

Worthwhile pointing out that the first paragraph was Elstone, the second, Kenwright.

And to be honest, its impossible to give an answer regarding valuation. If we sign Naughton tomorrow for £5m, thats an £5m investment and that alone would alter the valuation. But much, much more significantly is Kirkby. If theres one thing investors dont like its uncertainty - and Kirkby brings a whole lot of that to the table.

So you know when Holger Heims is saying "We have looked before at some European clubs to see if the numbers added up, and now we are doing the same with Chelsea" - How can they see if numbers add up at Everton? - The answer, you can't.

From the same meeting, Robert Earl: “After a certain percentage a bidder is legally obliged ……there isn’t one in the offing…people are waiting for Kirkby…Bill has everyone’s interests at heart in this room, not only his bank balance…I shouldn’t be telling you this but he’s neglected his own business…

He should have answered like you just have, but he didnt, he just stamped his feet like a 5 year old.

Is it possible that he's aware that no matter what he says, certain people will always twist his words into something negative? Is it also possible that he's a human being, and that after a years of people telling lies about him* that he's getting fed of it?

* note I'm not saying everything said about Kenwright is a lie, but if somebody publicly slandered you wouldn't you be a little upset?
