Probably a better comparison would have been kanchelsis v Trevor Steven. Both occupied the wide right role. This is difficult as Steven is my all time favourite Everton player. Skilful, graceful and accomished finisher v Andrei who didn't have the skill of Steven, but had explosive pace and was a great finisher. If Bolasie is worth 25m, what would kanchelsis and Steven in their prime be worth today?

I'd probably only put Lineker above Kanchelskis as the best since I started watching. Both played for too short a time to be real Everton legends (IMHO), but talent-wise they were the best.

I recall someone asking what Kanchelskis was like on here a few months ago, and i'll repeat what I said then. For those who never saw him, imagine Bale in his last season with Spurs, tearing down the wing, puts the afterburners on to skin th defender, then cut inside and straight for the goal! No pouncing around putting crosses in for Andrew he was absolute dynamite, the kind of player who you always believe will score a goal for you. Wonderful!
