The performance at Wednesday was one of the best individual performances I've seen by an Everton player. It is also one of the few occasions when one of our players has so richly been clapped in admiration by whole banks of opposition fans.

Yep , What an amazing performance that was , he was incredible . With the exception of the title winning sides basically he was the only player to have half a chance of getting into a best ever Everton XI for decades and I watched the 80's sides and was a Tricky Trevor fan.

So we have 8.2% of American users , this poll has at least proved informative

Much as I appreciated Landon's contribution this isn't even a contest. Kanchelskis is the Everton player I have most enjoyed watching in my lifetime (closely followed by Sheedy). Landon doesn't break into the top 20.

In terms of ability, Kanchelskis by 10 country miles.

In my lifetime of watching Everton there are only 3 players who were arguably the best in the world in their position, whilst playing with us. Southall - no need to discuss. Lineker 40 goals in one season and then top scorer in the World Cup. Lastly Andrei, in his first 18 months with us he was unstoppable. There wasn't a better right winger in the world. Shame things went sour for him with us, but great memories of his limited time with us.
