Cahill was the captain today and i didnt see him go up to the ref once to have a word with all the free kicks going their way. If you watch Neville he goes up and has a word with the refs if he thinks we have been out done with a decision.

Dunno about the decision , but I put me head in me hands seeing it live . That's usually a decent barometer , but I hope I'm wrong .
However , while I hope he's a success , of course , his lack of movement either on , or off - as a runner - the ball , is becoming an issue . He's too static too often , thus allows the oppo to not only target him , but also slows if not stops our forward momentum which is usually a combination of him / Baines / Felliani etc . If he doesn't , " go " , then they pick off Bainesy or whoever and we're suddenly defending with our left side out of position .
It's a worry , as , let's have it right , if we've missed arl mad fod at all , it's been as an attacking outlet . Least to my mind .
I realise this can be seen as harsh , but I honestly see it as an issue . Otherwise , i.e, he stays relatively static , and we change our style to fit him , which leaves little except long-ish ball .
Anyway , a couple of Usain Bolt Dvd's for young Billy's Chrimbo Stocking , and hopefully all will be well .
If not , I can see him / us struggling .

That's a legacy of Taggart .
Have you ever seen the Ref' change his mind / give us any sort of favour , as a result ???
One thing about Timmy ; the Pride .
Love the man .

Can't believe some people on here are turning well into Kopites. It was a shocking challenge by Billy and he could have hurt the lad.

It was a lunge, it was two footed. Red Card. End of story.

Ok, just watched it 5-6 times, its not even a foul, nevermind any card.

Are you having a laugh here?

I only had to watch the replay once on this one to know it was a well deserved red card.

Got this one wrong mate.

Both of his feet hit Petrov's ankle. How is it not a red? Tell me cause I'd really like to know?

I'm laughing because if someone like Dirk Kuyt had done that to an Everton player, we'd have been screaming "RED !!!"

As bad as the referee was today (and he was awful), he got that one right.

Thought it was sending of myself - two footed and late up around the shin - was never going to hurt the lad - but you just cant tackle like that.

In fairness one of those went when they shouldnt - some mad sending ofs yesterday.

Could see why he was sent to be honest, two footed lunge.

We'd be fuming if it was a against us.

Looked dangerous but at the same time it looked like his standing foot slipped and that's what propelled him into what looked like a two-footed lunge. Obviously the ref couldn't see that but at least it looks like it was worse than it actually was.

In young Bill's defence , it looks like his standing foot slips as he goes to tackle . I don't think he meant it as a 2 footer , but fact is , it was .
We'll appeal . We'll lose .
