Well not sure. Liverpool won't be in Europe on that Wednesday, so they may well try and push a game forward you know what they are like.
What's this about Gerrard out till Dec?
Most places are reporting that he has a bad groin injury and likely return date is Dec
teven Gerrard will find out next week if he needs surgery on his groin as Liverpool are rocked by a fresh injury crisis.
Gerrard is out of today's clash with Fulham and is a major doubt for Liverpool's must-win showdown with Lyon on Wednesday.
The Liverpool skipper is becoming increasingly frustrated that he cannot shake off the injury he suffered three weeks ago with England and Rafael Benitez fears he may need an operation.
"Next week we have to decide," said Benitez. "If he's not doing well, we have to decide.
"He's working with the physios and they are working very hard with him. We will see how he can progress.
"If he cannot improve in a few days, we will analyse again the situation. But at this moment it is just to keep going with the physios.
"The scan now is OK in terms of the abductor. It is a groin problem. So we have to talk with him to analyse if he has pain or not and talk with the doctor and the physios every day.
"He's not progressing as we were expecting. He's not doing better so it's the same situation as before. We thought he could be ready for the last game, but it's the same."
Benitez is desperate to patch Gerrard up to play at Lyon and revealed that the injury is getting to the England star.
The Reds boss admitted he may even consider giving the midfielder a painkilling injection to get him on the pitch.
"He's worried," said Benitez. "He's a little bit low because he thought he could be better, but he still has the same problem.
"You never know. He might be OK to play against Lyon. In one or two days he can improve. Maybe he could have an injection, but it would depend on the doctor.
"He feels a pain, not a bad one, but he can feel it. It means that long balls, he cannot kick them properly. It's not too much, but it's enough that he cannot play comfortably."
