Just what are we getting out of our relationship with the Hill Dickinson company?

Everything we will be getting out of this stadium is what will keep us standing in the years to come..

I'd rather have a premiership club
With a sponsored name on the front,
Than a half empty stadium in the 2nd tier.

Football already sold it's soul, it's about adapting to keep up now.

So the PL expert reckons upwards of £6m and you translated that to £3m?

Just to clarify: listening to that interview again it stated the basic is £6M per annum. The £3M basic I stated must have been remembered from elsewhere.

Still, it's a bit short of the £10M as publicised.

Getting a nice ground, until they manage to provide something on non Matchday to attract visitors they are failing massively.
What a disgrace. International rugby and football booked but after 16 weeks of being open they aren’t a 365 day destination.

Who does attract people on match day for non football related events?

‘Newcastle United’ is emblazoned on the top of the stand at St James Park. It will still be used at the Euros. Somehow I doubt having ‘Everton’ written on Everton’s stadium is going to prevent anything else happening there.
If you look at the ‘clean venue’ rules. Both uefa and fifa state that club and commercial branding needs to be removed. It isn’t a totally definitive rule but you need to be able to cover up. NUFC may have to cover up that branding.

Apparently it’s in their Ts and Cs that if Hill Dicks get their clients a better than expected result, then the client is obligated to spend an amount equivalent to one hour of chargeable value of the senior partner/director, who worked on the file’s, hourly rate at the club shop.
Plus VAT where applicable.

We (Everton FC) have built a magnificent new stadium on the Liverpool waterfront, with stunning views of one of the most iconic buildings in the nation - the Royal Liver Building. It cost us in the region of £800million to build. It is a privilege to view it from the road, let alone see Everton win there in front of 50,000 singing Blues. There have been some teething problems and debate has raged over the capacity, but ultimately it is a truly world-class stadium. Handsome, too, what with the brickwork that is in keeping with the surrounding historical buildings. I also love that the Grade II listed perimeter wall has been restored. This stadium has the opportunity to put us as a club back on the map, particularly when we host the Euros in just over 2 years' time.

However, when my son's clients from overseas come to visit Liverpool and see our magnificent new home from outside, all they see are the words Hill Dickinson. We paid £800million to build it, so how much are they paying us to essentially take ownership of the branding of our new home? I think the word Everton only features in tiny letters on the small Everton crests. These can hardly be seen from the road or the river, but the words Hill Dickinson can be. I've heard that they only pay us around £10million per annum, but that can't be correct?

I make this post not to cause mischief, but to ask a genuine question. If they are literally paying for the stadium over the course of a decade, then fair enough. But £10million seems like relative pocket change.
Market forces. Great stadium and not so great team in modern eyes. That will change but currently we are mid-table or below in the global TV world view.
