3 hours and 44 minutes from Liverpool to Battersea, not taking traffic into account.

7 hours before he actually did the torch bearing at Battersea he tweeted 'just arrived at Euston station', so around 6am.

I don't think I was really posting on here at that time but if that's right mate that'd probably put paid to his account, like I say sometimes I'm sure people post stuff in good faith that simply isn't true. I could be wrong and in view of my experiences I'm pretty keen not to stick my neck out too far but I'm pretty confident we have no interest in Owen , well certainly clubs that do have interest in him don't think we do if that makes sense ?

I don't have a problem with people posting stuff that is wrong, what annoys me is when they INSIST that it's correct when it clearly isn't. It winds people up and makes people think this forum is full of s***e, which it's not the majority of the time.

If Bluefox says he was there made I'd certainly believe it , I'm told by somebody who has been trying to get Owen to another club that there has been no everton interest in Owen. Like I say if Bluefox said he was here I'd believe it but somebody working for another club was under the impression there was no approach from us.

Mate like I say you might be right but I've learnt the hard way that up until hands are shook and even then probably not until contracts are signed deals collapse. The list of players that clubs , fans and over 3rd party agents that get string along by players is always pretty extensive , in defence of the media that's often the reason they get twirled on stories because most of the time nobody has a f**ken clue what's going on. However let's get to the main point , managers to my knowledge and experience don't go to clubs knock on the door and ask "can I have a word ?"

I prefer the 'until contracts are signed' rather than 'hands are shook' approach - remember a certain Mr. Dan Gosling... say no more!
