If we'd sold him in the last few years his replacement would have been Joao Virginia. Done alright when we've used him tbf. There's no way our car crash of a club invests in a new keeper when we've got one on the bench who we could chuck in.

You mean in the summer obviously but why has no club bid for him over the last four or five years? I think every top club in the premier league have bought one over that period but not one of them has made a bid for Pickford.

We have no idea if there have been any bids.

There could have been 50 bids for him and we wouldn't really have a clue. It's a complete misconception that the public know everything that goes on, we are by and large clueless

Its the worst shout that i hear everyone say trying to defend an average keeper. We could of replaced him with better or worse whod of still made the saves he made. None were exactly hard. He also cost us loads of points each season on his own. Far more than hes ever won.
Bar the chelsea game in 2022 I genuinly cant think of a match he "saved us" he even cost us goals the week later when we beat Palace to stay up he was all over the place.

Could of replaced him with Sanchez or Verbruggen

For a club with no money having a bunch of it tied up in an overvalued asset was not smart.

This is just not based in reality though. If we sold Pickford before the deductions we would've went down. We would've had a worse keeper who wasn't capable of pulling off any one of the double save vs Chelsea, the penalty save vs Leicester or the saves vs Bournemouth just off the top of my head. We would not have reinvested the funds and definitely wouldnt have improved. As for saying he cost us points in deductions, 'he' cost us like 9 million pounds in places dropped. It would've been closer to 90 million if he was sold.

Take one look at the level of keepers the other relegation candidates had/have. Pickford is a decisive factor in us still being a premier league team. This big brain thinking really isn't as smart as you think.

If there had been three or four genuine bids for him I think we would have known about like the Baines and Fellaini were sort by United and the bid for Branthwaite by the same club.

Jordan has been our most valuable player during the last few years of relegation struggles
and although DCL and Doucoure have scored some crucial goals, Jordan has been our man.

That said, I thought the goal against United was down to him.

Wow... you are utterly deluded. Not sure why but you, and a few others, seem to have an agenda here. You just don't like him. So, look, we all have opinions, and some will never agree, and though I am right and you are wrong, let's just examine the figures...
Look Pickford up in the Prem goalie stats... he is right up there.
