These lot and their media goons really are pathetic
I sympathize with the initial reaction. They lost their best player and injuries suck, especially knee injuries that often have long term effects on the quality of the player moving forward.
But this has gone beyond reason. In 2014, Falcao got tore his ACL to an tackle from behind in a French cup game vs a lower division. I was sad. Sad for the player and for Colombia and angry with the coach for playing him vs a 3rd division team. At no moment did I hate the player that actually injured him. It happens. I doubt a 3rd division player wanted to.injire falcao. Also, 2014 was a special team for us. We had a chance to do something in a tournament that we hadn't been to since 1998. We may never have another team as good as that one and the damn tournament happens every 4 years. He was at that moment our best player and we are far from a football superpower.
I say that because I feel that I had more reason to be angry. Liverpool is a super team, they play every year. They have money, name, allure. They will be fine no matter what. They are treating this as if we ended their franchise and it's complete BS. They need to grow up.
This is now beyond pathetic, okay they've lost a great player to a poor challenge, but proved by slow mo, by one of the few, it seems sane analyst's, a goalkeeper by the name of Rob Green. That Pickford, as he should have, had his eye on a high ball into his area, by then it was too late to alter his course, he spread himself and VVD's leg was planted. Horrible, but accidental injury. No one likes to see players injured like that, but where was this outcry for Gomes ? I can think of loads of players being injured like that but this has gone national, every man and his dog now has a narrative to slag Everton off, to call them dirty, to paint us as a dirty team. Last night it was Klopp, we have two injuries and they have not been punished, sorry is he unhinged, Richarlison by the letter of the law will now be banned for three games. Then Whingaldon, we are too dirty in derbies sorry have you ever watched any previous derbies ? The one you played in had Robertson tackling Allan from behind, not to mention Mane on a couple of occasions, VVD leaving his mark on Rodriguez and DCL in the first couple of minutes, or go a bit further back, Stevie G, your ex captain.
Think it's about time our PR machine burst into life and started defending our players and our club, the silence is deafening.
