Out of interest has anyone on here compared Pickfords Derby howler last season to Nigel Martyn’s in 04/05? Do fans genuinely take a dislike to JP because he is a bit cocky?

IMO I think he’s got worse since his first season here. His distribution was particularly well regarded, now it’s just pants.

This might sound odd, but I've always hated keepers who become overly aggressive after they concede and look around as if it were everyone's fault but their own.

Leeds goalie made a real howler yesterday so do not sign him. Can anyone draw up a list of goalies who have no record of howlers against them? It is a serious question because it seems possible now to draw up stats on almost anything, for example showing who scored the most with their left leg on Sundays in the past 10 years. Or who made more tackles in their own half than than anyone else and such like rubbish. If there is such a goalie snap him up next May.

There are keepers that make less mistakes than others, definitely. Leeds’ keeper is also actually terrible.

There’s already a league table of goalkeeping errors leading to goals. Pickford is top of it.

Not this season but off course the more back in time you go the more it will say hes made probably,just like when they do those silly things like when a player had played a certain amount and the team wins compared to when that player didnt play and they dont win-every way anyone can do can suit to what they want,remember pickford only had less clean sheets than one keeper last year-see how easy it is but some had there moans before we signed him,during his 1st season and so on

From memory, rather than tipping a routine long shot over the bar he tried to catch it palming it onto the head of Garcia to nod home. I guess we got some sort of redemption when Reina did similar throwing it onto AJ's head in 06/07.
