I read that performance by Moyes today as going on the attack to simply say: "Stop pissing around. You know what he's worth in this market, so let's have this done in the next few days or the clock has beaten you". Bringing it to a head, in other words. If City come back with anything in the region of £25M it'll end this.

Just listening to Moyes on Bluewatch and you cannot help but have massive respect for the bloke . He has never shifted his stance . Call it double bluff call it what you will but hes never for one moment been played by City or more to the point Mark Hughes .

It is City who are now twitching not Moyes or Everton . Everton hold all the aces and Hughes knows this and with each ticking second I know he"ll be wishing he had played this differently . Maybe if he had picked up the phone and asked Davey straight he would have a got a straight answer ie if you want him that bad we think he is worth this much now either put up or shut up . But no City have tried to plant seeds in the players mind via the media at every chance . I think its sad that at this stage of this sorry saga its emerged that Moyes havent even spoke to Hughes . How spineless is that on his part ?

I am so proud of how our GREAT club has handled itself during all this and regardless of how it turns out tonight we can all be PROUD to be Evertonians . This club is great and dont let anyone tell you differently.

It all comes down to price - if City bid £30m+ then Lescott would be gone. £15m followed by £18m was just pathetic.

There's so many rumours floating around at the moment , it's easy to get drenched in speculation .
What time will we know the starting line up tomorrow ?

Really hoping he plays , and Pienaar too , but Pienaar could be out of the equation .
