And who else was in the running for the best defender in the Championship? Not many, other wise we wouldn't have got him. We gave him the chance to be what he is today. End of.

Possibly, but there where still clubs after him. He said that himself when he was interviewed by the 'Evertonian', I remember it well.

He chose us over certain clubs because we where one of his favourite teams growning up. You could argue he gave us the chance to have a player of his quality.

He met us half way.:D

Is he sh!te worth anything over £20million

This is exactly why his head is so big (no, not that way) because of this bloody price tag. It's an over hyped price tag for an over hyped player.

You really think he's up there with the best defenders in the world?

Go back and re-read my previous posts in this thread.

I know what you've said. About how he's entitled to want more money.

Except I haven't said I've got a problem with him wanting more money, it's about how he's gone about it all. You can't deny the way he's done it is unprofessional.

No I don't. I know you don't mate, with you it's always a case of the grass is always greener on the other side.

'Mout's better than Arteta lid, Hangeland's well better than Joleon Lescott.'

I don't think it's anything to do with his price tag, I think he sees Manchester City as a better career option. A team with more potential and a team that can double his salary.

It's only natural, if I was playing for Villa I'd do the same thing, I'd certainly think about what City has to offer. It's an exciting prospect as a whole.

If he ends up going on strike then that's a different matter all together, as of now he hasn't though. If he gives his all for Everton and Moyes is happy with him then so am I. Anyone who helps us win games will get my support.

For that, I will call you TB for a bit.

Still got it.

Close the thread, TB has just nailed it.

But mate, Mout aint better than my Mikel.

If turning in a transfer request two weeks before the season is about to start is unprofessional, then yes, he's been unprofessional about it.

Other than that, he's pretty much kept himself away from the press regarding the issue.

Also, I very much doubt Lescott has only just come out now and said he wants to leave. I think Moyes has known about this for a while, he's bound to have had numerous discussions with Joleon about his future since he came back from pre-season.
