The fact that he's acting all "Look, they want me so I can treat you all with total disrespect" (That's if the strike thing is true, as you said) is to do with the price tag in my opinion.

I doubt he'd do that if City where offering £10million for him, would you?

The thing is, I agree it probably is a better career move for him, he'll win more there, he'll get more money there & he'll play with better players.

What I hate about him now is the way he's done it. The timing of the transfer request, and the fact he can't understand why it had to be rejected. If he done it a month earlier, then it could have all been different. In fact, if he done it a month ago I'd have been over the moon - I've said all summer I'd let him go for £15-£20million.

I'm not giving him any support, I'll probably end up sitting on the fence with it. Wont boo him during the game, yet I can't see me going out the way to applaud him or encourage him.

How do we know he's acting the big man? He's kept his mouth shut all summer and has played in most of our pre-season games.

The strike thing is a rumour, we'll wait and see what happens on that front. Innocent until proven guilty for me though, the papers and media outlets always make up rubbish, that's there job.

Moyes is certainly keen to keep him despite the transfer request, I think that says it all really. Would Moyes risk all his work for one bad egg in the side? I doubt it to be honest, if he knew Joleon was going to play up he's have him out the club as soon as possible.

He seems to think Joleon is proffessional enough to get on with it, as I said, we'll see what happens.

I think Moyes has known for a while that Lescott has wanted to leave, I very much doubt he's only just made his mind up. The players have been back for a while, with City's bid's it's only natural that they'd have talked to him about his future.

I seem to remember Shaun Wright-Phillips' agent saying he was looking to move on talksport, I forget the man's name.

Ian Wright said the man, whoever he was, wasn't even SWP's agent. Speaks for itself really, talksport is full of crap.

Innocent until proven guilty, if he actually does do it that changes things. But as of now he's kept his mouth shut and Moyes is happy to keep him.

Fairy muff.

But it's getting a bit tedious the way people are saying EVERYTHING to do with this whole thing is made up.

Are you remotely worried that Moyes may resign over the latest development? If Hughes tries to go over his head and Kenwright ignores D.M. for instance?

The same could be said of those who rip into him despite knowing very little about the situation. Yet his manager, who's works with him every day is very keen to keep him despite knowing he wants to leave for another club.

I'm not saying everything is made up, I'd rather just see what happens instead of crucifying him before anything's actually happened. Unless the game has already been played and he's went on strike, did I miss the game?

You know for a fact Moyes knows he would lose all credibility he has if he sold him after clearly stating "No one is leaving", no matter what circumstances it was under.

Do I ?

I'm quite sure Moyes wouldn't risk everything he has by keeping hold of a player who is sulking and disrupting team spirit. I think Moyes is confident Joleon Lescott will not do that.

Maybe that will change, maybe Lescott will actually 'go on strike'. I'll wait and see on that one, I'm not going to rip into him for being the big man when in reality, at the moment, nothing suggests he is.

All I know is he wants to leave, Moyes has rejected it, Hughes is still going for gold and Lescott is keeping his mouth shut.

Either way, weather he thinks he'll be a disruptive influence or he'll get his head down and work, he's said, he's not leaving. If he leaves, how can we trust a word he says in future?

And yeah, I think you do know that to be honest.
