Ah well I've changed my sig.

He's staying this year, Moyes won't let him go. Next year one of two things will happen:

1) He'll go to City

2) City won't want him so unless another club comes in for him he'll stay.

Either way it gives Moyes more time to find adequate replacements, and Rodwell + the other kids will be more experienced and hence better backup, hopefully one of them will advance enough to be considered for a first team place.

One way or another the games against City will be the most heated games we'll see outside of the Merseyside derbies.

Wish this would end just so I can move on.....

Think he needs to go and by the end of the day. Good riddance. Not that I don't blame him chasing the $$$$ (we all would - don't kid yourselves), the whole thing is a farce and is making me increasingly bitter as it drags out.

Either way, Lescott has ensured himself persona non grata status at Goodison. I wouldn't want to come back to Goodison if I was him - EVER.

I'm a bit angry and disappointed with his timing. Moyes have said all summer that he won't sell any players. We've known almost all summer that ManC would double his wages if he went there. That was leaked to the press long before Hughes put his first offer in for him. So if Lescott wanted to leave, why didn't he put in a transfer request in early July? That would have saved him some anger.

I'm not angry at him wanting to earn more money.. some are greedy, some have loyalty and integrity. But requesting a transfer with 4 days to the new season start? That's stupid and show a public disrespect to the club that have shown faith in him and turned him into one of the best defenders in the nation.

That said, I won't turn against him on the pitch until he either leaves, or starts to behave like a kid with a temper and refuse to do his best for the club.

The OS said Moyes refused the transfer request. So basically that's the end of it. Sure Hughes will come in with another bid, but I hope Moyes do like Villa did last summer when Barry wanted to leave and just tell potential buyers to come back next summer. If ManC really is interested in him as a player they will get him then.

Lescott have a lot to loose by behaving like a spoiled child so I don't see that happening. He would almost certainly loose his chance to reach the WC squad if he doesn't behave his best if he is still here while the transferwindow closes, and if he behaves like one before... He shows the whole football comunity that he's not to be trusted to fulfill a contract.

Don't see any sense in keeping a player against his wishes. Lescott has submitted a transfer request and that says enough for me. Now just make sure City pay whatever Everton are holding out for and move him out and move on.

We cheered him everytime he got the ball in the last pre season game according to the press. If our support for him and our help in growing him into the player he is today is worth nothing to him, then hes not a player worthy of Everton.

I'd rather see him rot on the bench while Rodwell plays centre back, than give him the green light for City.

I dont think Gareth Barry handed in a transfer request, he just went out in the media saying out O'Neil wouldnt let him go and that he's a pleb. Then said he'd finish his contract but would stay if they got into the Champs League that season...and dont forget Barry had been with Villa for 10 years. Didnt happen, he's 30 years old, went to Citeh for a payday.

Lescott on the other hand wants a payday, sees we do bollock all in being a club with ambition, knows Citeh will win something in 2 years time and wants to be a part of it.

I think he'd also bite the bullet at 90k a week to sit on the bench when Citeh see him as an expendable asset and bring in a better defender next season.

He's a a complete tit to be frank. Like many, I couldn't care less that he wants the move. I imagine 99% of individuals would want out too, given it's a move worth millions of pounds. But Everton made him, the fans adopted him, and we all deserve more than this.

If he'd put in this request 10 days ago, then fine. Now I just can't stand him.

The dirty get. :@

Which is what I dont understand.

Its not like Moyes hasnt said countless time "he's not for sale". But Lescott has sat there twiddling his thumbs knowing we dont want to sell....

So now 4 and a bit days till kick off he suddenly thinks "I know how to force a move...I'll hand a transfer request in." I know footballers are thick but why didnt he do that weeks ago?!!!!

Bet you a tenner Wright Phillips and Barry have been whispering in his ear when training for England and that's what's made him do it.

I do hope he likes being around ****s like Bellamy, Robinho, and Toure.

Ah well, he's a bit of a tit. Cool, the club is much bigger than Lescott - he's not even the best centre half or left back at the club.

Make him suffer and dont play him, Jagielka goes to the World Cup and its a painful lesson learnt.

Should really expect it from footballistas these days.

Is gonna go round and round though if we dont get some investment me thinks.

Get a player cheap. Turns out he's very good. Flog for £10mill+ because we dont have the money to keep them or offer them anything.

Cant beat em, join em. Average players are priced at £10million nowdays, need to start rolling with the times.

Get's bigged up > massive bid comes in > next Judas.
